Hello, We have the latest version for sarge debian-volatile clamav-daemon, clamav-milter and clamav-freshclam Version: 0.90.1-0volatile1.
We have everything working properly except for the "clamav.log" file. It works fine (logs like it should) when you start it up and it runs fine till the logs are archived, with logrotate, at 6:30 each morning. At that time there is a signal sent to the clamav-daemon init program that resets the clamav-daemon, but the clamav-milter needs to be reset as well, and it is not. So all the information about blocked viruses - etc., is not being recorded in the /var/log/clamav/clamav.log file. I have gotten around this by shutting down the sendmail program and waiting for about 1/2 minute, then doing a forced-restart of the clamav-milter program and starting the sendmail backup again. Does anyone know of a better way of getting the clamav-milter to start writing to logs again after the logrotate is done each morning?
