Yes, that I will give you. I am an American citizen as well, and I know for sure that the founding of Jamestown and the struggles of the Pilgrims at least _were_ taught in school. I can't say what is taught in today's schools. My kids go to Dutch schools. I think after reviewing your post I see some humor in it.
