So, you are telling me, that the DVD-Drive won't boot bootable CDS?

You have a broken BIOS or DVD drive. Period.

You should update your BIOS and/or DVD Firmware.

How do I know? I have been booting bootable CDs for years from DVD
drives. And I mean multiple machines (and brands) and multiple brand
DVDs.
