just want to second this as a viable option. I had an install where the netinstall could not get the network up, so carried on without it. Once booted into the real (very minimal system) network came up no problem and i proceeded from there. This only works, of course, if the drivers are in the main kernel image package but may not necessarily be in the kernel that netinstall boots for the install... A
