The K6 is *almost* a 686, but the -686 kernel uses the instructions
missing from the K6. Use the -486 kernel. (I think there used to
be a -586 kernel that was dropped a couple of years ago.)

I noticed that the Sabayon linux wiki [0] contains the following lines:
Live Environment - No 3D Desktop:
i586 Processor (starting from AMD K5 and Intel Pentium)

Live Environment - 3D Desktop:
i686 Processor (starting from AMD K6 and Intel Pentium II)
Is this wrong, or are they actually not using anything strictly 686?
