Hi, for a while splashy worked fine on my testing machine. I had it working with initrd according to the directions in the README. Then it started hanging shortly before the the xserver would start. I purged the package and reinstalled it, to try to keep things simple and try to figure out what was going on I didn't try to use use it in the initrd. It still doesn't work:
The bar stops shortly before completing, the etc-key does not show tty1 during boot, but a blank screen with a cursor in the upper left-hand corner. Alt-F1 gives me a tty1 login prompt if I wait long enough. Alt-F7 starts X, also If I wait long enough. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem? Thanks, Chris -- C.
