So I guess you leave your car unlocked then. Anyone who really wants to get into your car can do so pretty easily, usually without much in the way of tools either. (I did it with a coat hanger before.) This is how I see WEP and blocking by MAC: it's not that I'm trying to make sure it's impossible to do, I'm just trying to prevent casual abuse or temptation from the average user. I mean if someone really wanted to get to my computers, they could break into my apartment pretty easily... although they would have to get past the lock on the door ;) With that said, I'm not sure what alternatives I have on my network. I know I have some kind of support for WPA on the router, but if I can't even get WEP to work... I just told myself, "good luck with that."
