Hi... I'm running KDE 3.1.2 from unstable and the artsd that's coming along. The problem is that when running noatun, artsd is eating 15 to 30% CPU time, depending on what type of file I'm playing (generally, high-quality OGG files use more that 128kbit MP3s) and skips badly whenever something else needs to do some work. Now, what's really strange is that playing an XviD file with OGG or MP3 sound with xine only uses a fraction of the CPU power, even when pushing the sound through arts.
