Do you know about www.apt-get.org?

My experience is that if I specify two or more repositories that have
the same packages, apt-get/aptitude etc. selects the "latest" by version
number to get.  Aptitude allows me to "hold" a package, so it's not
updated (see aptitude - it's pretty straightforward).
