Subject: linux-2.6 transition pkg and -bigmem in etch

where can I read bout what the destination of a transition package is.

I'm interested in when/if linux-image-2.6-686-bigmem will be available in etch
and whether it - according to my .config analysis - supercedes the
linux-image-686-smp package.

I need CONFIG_*_PAE and CONFIG_*_SMP to have both multi-processor and
PAE support which is needed for NX bit on IA32.

any clues?
