I am trying to work out how grub-install knows which stage_1.5 to install. I sort of assume that it uses the version that corresponds to the filesystem where /boot/grub resides - but a quick look through the shell script that is grub-install left me totally confused as I couldn't find where it used stage 1.5 files at all. -- Alan Chandler http://www.chandlerfamily.org.uk
