Right. You burn the BIOS update file --and maybe another file or two,
don't quite remember-- to a CD ROM, pop that in your drive, hit F8, pick
the CD ROM containing the BIOS cd and your on your way.
The ASUS boot menu saves you the trouble of having to change the order
of the boot sequence to the first CD ROM, if it was not set as such
already. I don't because the machine does not have to waste time
checking the CD ROM every time between reboots or hibernate. That and
having quick boot in the BIOS enabled results in getting the machine up
just a little quicker.
