Ok, I undersand that. But, as the lack of personal to stabilize the system will probably not be solved soon, why not to create a Frankenstain meanwhile? People do it anyway. I readed a survey that concluded that most of the people who use debian as workstation end up in a mix of testing and unstable. I myself did it in orther to have the last kde, cdrecord and everything. So, if you think of it, to make this "half-breed distribution" isn't a way of hiding the problem but a way to face the truth that many people want (need) this in order to save time of work. And of course, this Frankenstain would only be an extra option. Some time the best solution is the most practical even if they are ugly.
