Hi, I have been beating on this for day and could use a
pointer. I have installed current stable MySql then Nagios
and Nagios-mysql on Sarge 3.1 I can connect to http://localhoast/nagios
and logon MySql seems to work and I can connect to it and create
users e.g. nagiosadmin Nagios.log: [1155039840] Nagios 1.3 starting... (PID=30601) [1155039841] Error: Could not connect to MySQL database ''
on host '' using username '' and password 'XXXXXX'. Status data will not
be saved! [1155039841] Error: Could not connect to MySQL database ''
on host '' using username '' and password 'XXXXXX'. Retention data will
not be processed or saved! [1155039841] Error: Could not re-connect to database
server on host '' for status data. I'll keep trying every 60 seconds... [1155039841] Error: Could not connect to MySQL database ''
on host '' using username '' and password 'XXXXXX' for comment data! [1155039841] Error: Could not connect to MySQL database ''
on host '' using username '' and password 'XXXXXX' for downtime data! [1155040455] Error: Could not re-connect to database
server on host '' for status data. I'll keep trying every 60 seconds... My question: Should the install have created tables in MySql? Where can I correct username/password to get Nagios to
talk to MySql? TIA Mothman |
