Please don't respond to the digest. Respond to messages in the digest. Responding to the digest itself reduces readability of the list for the rest of us.
1) It breaks threads, your response appears as a new thread. 2) It breaks the subject, making it even harder to figure out what you're babbling on about. If you don't know how to split the digest into individual messages, you should not be using digest mode to read the list.
