You probably need to apply the vmware any-any patch (search on vmware.com); see www.vmware.com/community/message.jspa?messageID=439133 BTW, when you get around to upgrading to 2.6.17, you might need to check out www.vmware.com/community/thread.jspa?messageID=432775.
