You can either tell firestarter not to log these events anymore (probably a bad idea) or you can tell klogd to stop echoing low-level messages on the ttys. For the latter approach see for example here: http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2006/07/msg00068.html If you are worried about missing messages after you change the setting then you can install the package "logcheck".
