Hello What is the right way to build a custom kernel from e.g. upstream 2.6.17.4 sources and produce a kernel-header package that contain at least "arch/i386/Makefile.cpu" and similar files?
"make-kpkg kernel_header" produces a kernel-header package which lacks this file. In Sarge this file is present in kernel-header-2.6.8-3, kernel-header-2.6.8-3-k7 and similar just symlink to the kernel-header-2.6.8-3 location.
