I have a Genius Webcam Look (SN9C103 chip sensor); this webcam has the v4l2 driver sn9c102 and it works correctly in kernel 2.6.16 with the demo app the developer has on his website (http://www.linux-projects.org/downloads/videoview-bin-20060209.tar.gz).
Unfortunately, it seems that kopete don't recognize the webcam; xorg does not have a v4l2 driver available either (at least in sid); anybody know how can I do to use that camera in kde?
