I then simply tried commenting out the guts of the stop function in /etc/init.d/doodled and running the upgrade, which worked. invoke-rc.d doodled stop still fails. Here is the function from /etc/init.d/doodled: DAEMON=/usr/bin/doodled NAME=doodled DESC="doodle daemon" stop) echo -n "Stopping $DESC: " start-stop-daemon --stop --quiet --pidfile /var/run/$NAME.pid \ --exec $DAEMON echo "$NAME." ;; -- ================================== Michael Lightfoot [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================== -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
