I gziped a bunch of files in a few directories, in order to more easily move them to a new computer.
gzip * Now, when I unzip them with gunzip, I see about 512 bytes of binary stuff on the front of the files (on both my ascii and binary files), and even more binary bytes tacked onto the end of the files. What happened??? Is there a way I can unzip them without this pre/post padding?? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
