However, you are attempting to write the package to the root home directory on the ramdisk, for which you do not have write permission, and thus the .deb cannot be written there. This relates to java-package bug #329958. When you run into an issue with a given package, a great first step is to look at the Debian BTS to see what bugs exist against that package. Sometimes the issue is a legitimate bug, and sometimes it is misuse of a package. I would recommend running as a normal user (not root) in a directory where you have appropriate file permissions.
