Hi All, I recently installed debian-woody on a PI, 233MHz PC after wiping RH6.2 which was there earlier. For configuring an old dotmatrix printer which works with Epson FX105 drivers in windows, I used printtool facility. In debian, I invoked CUPS, (http://localhost:631), configured the dot matrix printer(Epson 9 pin dot matrix drivers) and printed a test page. It came alright.
I opened kword and wanted to take a print out. In the printing program currently used tab, I did not see CUPS listed, only the other 4 i) Generic UNIX LPD printing system ii) LPR/LPRng printing system iii) RLPR printing system iv) External printing program(generic) I tried printing thru all these, but printing did not take place , terminated with various error messages. I have installed CUPS. How to print thru CUPS in an external program , say, kword or Open Office (which also suffered the same fate). Pl help.
