depmod problem

Hello!

I have a question:

When I refresh the kernel from 2.2.19 to 2.4.20 without errors,

in the new kernel the depmod command generate this error message:

depmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented.

I like to install a wireless lan card.

Please help me!
