I've moved the TV and radio "Pinnacle PCTV Pro card" from the SUSE computer to the new box with Debian Sid, but doesn't works: I get no sound.
With KRadio one "click, click, click" is audible when I move the radio dial, but it's all. Any orientation? Thanks :) --------------- $ lspci [...] 0000:05:02.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture (rev 11) 0000:05:02.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture (rev 11) ------------------ In SUSE this card works (no stereo radio, only this problem) with this detection: kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00 kernel: bttv: driver version 0.9.13 loaded kernel: bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture kernel: bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:01.0[A] -> GSI 22 (level, low) -> IRQ 22 kernel: bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 0000:02:01.0, irq: 22, latency: 64, mmio: 0xf8001000 kernel: bttv0: detected: Pinnacle PCTV [card=39], PCI subsystem ID is 11bd:0012 kernel: bttv0: using: Pinnacle PCTV Studio/Rave [card=39,autodetected] kernel: bttv0: gpio: en=00000000, out=00000000 in=00fffbff [init] kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: (0) scl=1, sda=1 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: (1) scl=1, sda=0 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: (2) scl=1, sda=1 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: (3) scl=0, sda=1 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: (4) scl=1, sda=1 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: bt878 #0 [sw] passed test. kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for MSP34xx @ 0x80... found kernel: bttv0: pinnacle/mt: id=2 info="PAL+SECAM / stereo" radio=yes kernel: bttv0: using tuner=33 kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for MSP34xx @ 0x80... found kernel: msp34xx: init: chip=MSP3410G-B11 +nicam +simple +radio kernel: msp3410: daemon started kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9875 @ 0xb0... not found kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA7432 @ 0x8a... not found kernel: tda9887: chip found @ 0x96 kernel: tuner: chip found at addr 0xc0 i2c-bus bt878 #0 [sw] kernel: tuner: type set to 33 (MT20xx universal) by bt878 #0 [sw] kernel: tuner: microtune: companycode=3cbf part=42 rev=2f kernel: tuner: microtune MT2050 found, OK kernel: bttv0: registered device video0 kernel: bttv0: registered device vbi0 kernel: bttv0: registered device radio0 kernel: bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 .. ok ------------------ In Debian Sid (probing tunner 3 instead 33 because KRadio shows the "stereo" indication) $ modprobe bttv radio=1 tuner=3 card=3 $ modprobe bt878 kernel: bttv: driver version 0.9.16 loaded kernel: bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture kernel: bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:05:02.0[A] -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 50 kernel: bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 0000:05:02.0, irq: 50, latency: 64, mmio: 0xf0001000 kernel: bttv0: detected: Pinnacle PCTV [card=39], PCI subsystem ID is 11bd:0012 kernel: bttv0: using: Pinnacle PCTV Studio/Rave [card=39,insmod option] kernel: bttv0: gpio: en=00000000, out=00000000 in=00fffbff [init] kernel: msp3400 1-0040: MSP3410G-B11 found @ 0x80 (bt878 #0 [sw]) kernel: msp3400 1-0040: MSP3410G-B11 supports nicam and radio, mode is autodetect and autoselect kernel: tda9887 1-004b: chip found @ 0x96 (bt878 #0 [sw]) kernel: tuner 1-0060: Chip ID is not zero.
