I have tried to burn 4 Knoppix cdr's using different programs including trying windoze nero with the exact same results.....the cd burns but does not produce a bootable cd. Their web site seems to indicate that if you can sucessfully burn a cd with the Knoppixxxx.iso file that it should boot. That has not worked. I was wondering if I need to try using the el torrito boot feature plus the image.
BTW these are my first attempts at using Debian SID apps to burn a cd. Any tips or experiances would be appreciated. Thanks!

I suspect you're burning the .ISO as a file to the CD, rather than using the .ISO to burn an image. If you mount one of your burned CDs, do you see a bunch of files, or just the KNOPPIX.ISO file? If the latter, you're just not clicking on the correct options in your burner software.

I eventually found that the easiest way for me is to use ecliptroaster (apt-get install eroaster). There's like five buttons down the left-hand side; the third one or so is the one you want (sorry, don't have the app accessible at the moment to be more precise).
