I did not have time to try the upgrade myself yet, but I noticed that
there is a new package called "xcursor-themes". Maybe installing that
will be enough to bring the cursors back.

P.S. All this talk about Xorg 7.0 today has made me curious. I have the
feeling that my laptop will have to volunteer for an experiment soon...
