Hi, in my continued venture to get my embedded HP NetRAID controller to work with Debian I came upon this article: http://www.togaware.com/linux/survivor/Load_RAID.shtml
which references there being in what seems was the woody installer a option to Preload Essential Modules from Floppy which would really make recognizing my HP NetRAID controller possible, however I don't recall seeing this option in the Debian Sarge
3.1r1 installer, is it still there and if so how do I get to it and utilize it? Also if it's still around how would I go about loading the megraid module (e.g., where should I get it from, the knoppix live cd? should it be in a specific directory structure on the floppy?)? And finally, would loading this module mean the RAID would only be availible before the installer restarts the computer at which point there'd be a kernel panic because the driver's no longer loaded (as referenced in the end of the article I posted a link to in this posting) and if so is there a way to keep this from happening? Thanks alot! :-)
