This is sort of a long story. I did not detail it in my original
message. I have an EPOX EP-8VTAI mobo. It has 2 SATA ports on it. But
when I connect the drive to them the system hangs in POST. So I bought
an SATA RAID 2 port PCI Host Adapter and connected the drive to it, that
works but with the earlier described problems.
