Same problem:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] init.d]# iptables -A INPUT --source *.*.*.* -j DROP
iptables v1.2.11: can't initialize iptables table `filter': Module is wrong 
version
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.
