Another impatience question.
I've configured my box to connect to a shared printer on a windblows98 box.
Setting up is done on CUPS,
<Printer @Win98>
Info
Location
DeviceURI smb://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/sharedprinter
State Idle
Accepting Yes
JobSheets none none
QuotaPeriod 0
PageLimit 0
KLimit 0
</Printer>
After restarting cupsys, I tried to print a test page which not
successfull. CUPS says : "/Unable to connect to CIFS host, will retry in 60
seconds..." /
I've been googling around and found nothing yet.
Samba 3.0.21c; CUPS 1.1.23; Printer HP LaserJet 1200 using HPLIP driver.
Thanks,
mslinuz
I believe you have to change someip to somesmbhostname
Nope. still the same. Another printer which connected to an XP box
with
"ip-based" configuration works fine. I think the configuration is already
correct.
Notes : I apologize to Chris for replying to his email. Another "too fast to click"
;-)
I resend the reply to the list
