I identified that I am using GRUB and X Windows System Version 6.9.0
Now, with my limited knowledge of Linux/Unix, here is what I've done:
* I switched to the /etc/init.d/ directory using the "cd" command
* I listed the files using the "ls" command
* There I found that only gcm exists, no [xkw]dm
From the clue below, I assume you mean "gdm", not "gcm".
What is the command of program I should use to edit the gdm file?
Something like "nano gdm".
BTW, I'm putting this back on-list; it's considered improper on this
list to take threads off-list unless they veer off-topic. By keeping the
discussion on-list, everything gets archived so that the issue becomes
part of the documentation for Debian, and others who might have better
input can add their two cents.
