In the meantime
(since november) I had re-installed SUSE-Linux which ran without showing the
hanging-behaviour.
After reinstalling
Debian and trying with a different monitor the problem showed up
again.
What log-files
should I have a look on?
How should I run a
trace, I dont know how to do that?
