Hi Sammy, when you install x-window-system, you get one window manager installed: twm. if you click and hold the left mouse button, you should see a menu, where you can select to run an xterm (look under the shells menu). Other than that, you can install a WM: wmaker, openbox, kde,gnome,.... And an display manager: wdm, xdm, gdm, kdm...
