Try using -f. >> > Do apt-get -f install Thanks for the advice but is not the road i took. apt-get adviced to remove allmost all packages and wanted a "YES" from me :-) after some digging on debian.org i found all the libs depending on lib6c 2.3.1-17, after downloading i could do a dpkg -i <package>
