I'm currently trying. Do not use kernel 2.6.8 during boot time, as it does not find the hard disk after first reboot from disk: ... ide0: I/O resource 0x1F0-0x1F7 not free. ide0: ports already in use, skipping probe ... Kernel panic... But kernel 2.4.27 works and I am now continuing the installation. Please not that I am only just beginning my attempts, I got the machine yesterday.
