Hi all, I have a network running (mainly) Debian Sarge on both i386 and Sparc. This network uses NIS (currently) for user/password authentication. If I change the password for a user with yppasswd it's all fine, if, however, I use the passwd command I get:
passwd: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info. Is this expected behaviour? I have changes my nsswitch.conf file to read passwd: files nis group: files nis shadow: files nis As discovered in a previous posting to the Debian list...
