A little more information (possibly), in case it helps: the problem appears to
be with dpkg specifically, not apt-get. This from trying to uninstall one of
the problem packages, using aptitude:

"""
Removing klickety ...
dpkg: error processing klickety (--remove):
subprocess post-removal script killed by signal (Segmentation fault)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 klickety
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
"""

Does this mean dpkg is segfaulting? If so, why only for these two packages
(klickety and kasteroids), and no others?

Many thanks, again,
Nic
