 I get this message when I try to open:
 
 mount: special device /dev/sdc1 does not exist
 Please check that the disk is entered correctly.
 
 Any sugestions?

Well, does it exist? Post output of "ls -al /dev/sd*". Also try 
installing "hal-device-manager". It gives you a great deal of 
information about what and how.
