Installing Linux on ones computer requires a conscious decision; choosing Debian as the distribution to install must presuppose some awareness of the issues involved. So how did these people come to be installing Debian in the first place without knowing what to expect? Sorry, that doesn't get us anywhere nearer to a solution, does it?
