How can I see the hardware type to compile the correct drivers in the
kernel?
Example How can I see if I have an ATA or a SATA hard disk?
IMHO, (P)ATA harddisks will report themselves as hd* in dmesg. on the
other hand, SATA drives are reported as sd*, so this should give you a
hint what to compile in...
