Not a full solution, but I've re-read the LVM HOWTO again (AJ Lewis did and is continuing to do an absolutely awesome job with these docs, they've got the offical Karsten "totally, like, excellent" seal of approval), and found section 13.6: "Moving a volume group to another system". Anyone experienced with Veritas should find the process relatively familiar. There's a few steps to take, but they're pretty quick and painless, and they work, at least run under qemu (I'll try on a loopback mount later). Peace. -- Karsten M.
