I don't know the answer to your question exactly, but I have successfully used port mapping in my router to allow multiple VNC connections... which I changed to SSH connections with VNC tunneling. This way I can SSH into any of my machines at home or at work and then fire up a VNC connection to that machine if I need graphical control. What exactly do you need the repeater for?
