My computer (running Sarge) overheated and hung the night before last. I didn't realize why it had hung until it had been overheating for a few
If you need to cool it down some, slow down the CPU clock in BIOS. Also, slow DRAM timings to largest delay and largest delay for CAS latency, CAS to RAS, etc.
This might cool it down a little.
Slow timings *should* make the machine more stable.
You may not need high speed for a firewall anyhow.
