Hello, I have a difference in the size of my .bash_history and the $HISTSIZE variable:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] >wc -l /home/gru/.bash_history 2217 /home/gru/.bash_history [EMAIL PROTECTED] >echo $HISTSIZE 4000 I could only explain this if I wouldn't type "new" commands, but many commands that I use got lost and I don't know why. Do I understand the $HISTSIZE setting wrong ?
