I don't know if its the debian way or not... But I usually just write an xinitrc in the users home directory which exec's the window manager that I want to run. Like exec wmaker If you are using GDM and not startx, I am not so sure. I don't use GDM or cousins at all. -- Michael Perry | Do or do not.
