Hello, I would like to find out if there is a way to properly configure the default BIND 9.2.4-1 that comes with Sarge.
At present it takes several seconds to resolve simple querries like www.google.com. Once the query is cached, the answer comes straight away. I did some research, especially on RedHat site and found that any version of BIND prior to 9.2.5 has this problem because of IPv4/IPv6. I don't think there is an option allowing to disable IPv6 prior to BIND 9.3.1. Question - is there a way to resolve the problem? Maybe tweaking the base installation itself can help? If not, how to stay in the Stable branch and update to BIND 9.3.1? Thank you for your attention and answers. Martyn
