Well, here we go! After browsing the squid-users list, I figured out. First problem, the squid documentation says that squid uses snmp 1 and 2, but de facto only version 1 works AFAIK.
And I dont know what is the meaning of this number: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1 This command returns some information, but I dont know how to get more information using snmp. gw:/etc/squid# snmpwalk -c public -m /usr/share/squid/mib.txt -v 1 127.0.0.1:3401 .1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johann Spies" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <debian-user@lists.debian.org> Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2005 6:45 AM Subject: Re: squid snmp timeout > > > gw:~# snmpwalk localhost:3401 -v 2c -c pb > > Timeout: No Response from localhost:3401 > > I have exactly the same problem on a new proxy server I am building. > > Regards > Johann > -- > Johann Spies Telefoon: 021-808 4036 > Informasietegnologie, Universiteit van Stellenbosch > > "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the > fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord." > I Corinthians 1:9 > > > -- > To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > with a subject of "unsubscribe".
