As mentioned in the subject line, it has happened a few times that at some point, even when the printer has been working, some small change in the parameters or some unknown factor will cause the printer to just stop accepting jobs, or else the system to stop passing them to the printer. Deja Vu!
After rebooting, the printer cranked out pending jobs. I have the same problem with a Brother HL1430. Re-powering the printer
and restarting the printer via the CUPS web interface seems to consistently
solve the problem. I have a feeeling its something to do with USB, but I haven't
had time to look at it.
Good luck, Rob :) I have the same problem. printer stops printing until reboot on fedora
4. usb to lpt cable present.
Do you remember how you solved this problem ?
Pease help
Thanks,
Gabi
