I did. The message that dmesg produces is that there is no filesystem (at work ATM, so I don't have my laptop, and don't remember the message verbatim). Since I am using UDEV, I created /dev/sda1 with mknod, and that did not work. I suspect this is because ide-scsi used to handle scsi emulation, and that is not really what I am looking to achive. I was thinking about trying to reformat the drive using parted or windows (gasp), but winxp does not format fat32, and parted was giving me a dire warning, so I held off there. I might go ahead and risk it if I run out of options. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
